How to Design Forms for Microsoft Office Infopath Forms Services

Microsoft InfoPath and Form Services 2007 is an application that is a part of the Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate software package. The application allows users to create XML data entry forms to be printed or published to the Internet. There is an InfoPath Publishing Wizard feature that helps you create a template for a new form that you wish to design. You can enable the form you design to be filled out in a web browser via the Publishing Wizard through InfoPath or in InfoPath itself. Then you can save your form and template on both the web browser and application views.

Open the Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 application on your computer. Click on the "Microsoft Office" button and then click on the "Design a Form" option.

Click on the "Form Template" option and then click on the "Blank Form" option under the "Based on" heading. Click on the "OK" button.

Click on the "Form Options" button to bring up the "Form Options" dialog box. Select options that meet your preferences. Add any components to the form by dragging the components from the toolbar down to the form.

Click on the box next to the "Enable this form to be filled out by using a browser" field in the InfoPath Publishing Wizard. Your form template will then be enabled for use on the Internet.

Click on the "Submit" button in the web browser to save the data you fill out in the form. Go back to the application and click on the "Microsoft Office" button. Click on the "Save a Form" option to save the template you created.
