Microsoft Office 2010 Now Available To Businesses

Software heavyweight Microsoft has announced the worldwide availability of its latest flagship business productivity application suite, Office 2010, together with its sidekick, Sharepoint 2010.

In addition, Project 2010 and Visio 2010 have also been released to business consumers worldwide although you won't be buy them off the shelves yet; we've been told that shrink-wrapped Office 2010 will be available from the 15th of June.

The software suite will also help people connect and collaborate better, work anywhere regardless whether they have Office actually installed on their working computers, access data quickly to make real time decisions and help bring "ideas to life".

Nearly nine million people are already using Office 2010 in one of the most successful trial periods of any Microsoft products. Office 2010 is currently available in 14 languages with a whopping 80 extra added by the end of the year.

Office 2010 is facing some of the biggest challenges in 20 years. The growing popularity of cloud computing, coupled with the rise of Generation X and Y, economic pressures and the lack of major improvements mean that Microsoft must innovate even more to combat upgrade apathy.
